Why is my container on hold?

Created by Kaitlynne Fincher, Modified on Thu, Jan 15 at 7:59 AM by Kent Brown

Container holds can be related to US Customs, Steamship Line or safety holds by our terminal teams.

GOPORT can provide some basic hold information from the quick reports. i.e. REPORTS - QUICK REPORTS - PUBLIC - Import Release Status by Container, enter your container(s) and click GO.

LINE and EIR holds are directly related to the steamship lines. You would need to contact them to resolve the issue.

PORT holds are usually demurrage holds by the steamship lines but can also be actual port holds by our terminal teams for safety, documentation or other terminal problems. Contact the Solutions Center for more info. solutionscenter@scspa.com
