How do I create an EIR (bypass, gate out, gate in, booking, EDO)?

Booking EIRs should always be created/updated with 301 EDI from the steamship lines.

Import load EIRs, for most lines, are created by sending 315 EDI that posts the line/freight release and then creates the EIRs (often dependent on any US Customs holds).

Gate in EMPTY EIRs are usually automatically created when a loaded import gates out.

EDOs are created from the ORION SECOND MENU FOR AGENTS, select PF34 - EQUIP EIRS FOR PSEUDO BOOKINGS

Manual EIRs are created from the ORION MENU FOR AGENTS, select PF19

Bypass/Release EIRs are created from the ORION MENU FOR AGENTS, select PF19. The line will also add at least 18 characters in the BYPASS REL CK COMMENT field, press ENTER and then press PF5 to create the EIR. NOTE: SSLs should only issue bypass EIRs with direct consultation with the port helpdesk or software develop
